James H. Johns
President and Founder, Vios Asset Management LLC

James brings 20 years of industry experience to the business successfully maneuvering through the last two major economic recessions. James is an analyst of the global economy and markets. He presents finance classes and related educational seminars regularly.

James founded Vios Asset Management in 2002 during the turmoil in the financial markets now known as the dot-com bust. In the midst of the economic upheaval, the financial industry was losing client focus. Establishing his own firm freed James of the internal politics inherent in any large institution and allowed him to focus the firm on research and excellent client service. With a rich network of professional partners, Vios is able to offer each client an individually-focused, professionally managed investment service.

Prior to founding Vios, James was a Vice President in the Montgomery Division of Bank of America Securities where he focused on managing private client assets. Through his relationships with founders and engineers of Silicon Valley’s high tech companies, James often functioned as an information hub. He creatively leveraged the strengths of Bank of America to meet the myriad needs of his clients including option exercises, equity and debt derivative hedging and wealth management.

James began his career in 1991 in fixed-income sales to institutions at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (“DLJ”). He pioneered the corporate cash effort at DLJ and counted many of Silicon Valley’s largest high technology corporations as his clients including Cisco, Intel, 3Com, Seagate, Chiron, Autodesk and others.
